GENERAL RULES OF PROMOTION:
“Awesometown Foursquare Challenge” (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by The Newhall Land and Farming Company (A California Limited Partnership) (together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, the “Sponsor”), located at 25124 Springfield Court., 3rd Floor, Valencia, CA 91355. The Promotion is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”).  By participating in the Promotion, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the Promotion, as determined by Sponsor and its agents, are final in all respects.  The Promotion is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.  BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE PROVIDING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO SPONSOR.  SUCH INFORMATION WILL BE USED AS PROVIDED IN THE PRIVACY SECTION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
ELIGIBILITY:
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia (and currently residing therein), who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.  Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor and its affiliates, as well as members of their immediate families (defined as parents, spouses, children, siblings and grandparents) and individuals living in the same household as those individuals are not eligible to enter or win.  Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.
PROMOTION TIME SCHEDULE:
The Sweepstakes begins at 7:00 pm PST on July 23, 2010 and ends at 9:00 p.m. PST on August 28, 2010 (“Promotion Period”).  Participants must provide proof of completion by September 4, 2010 to receive prize.


HOW TO ENTER:
Use the mobile application Foursquare to “check-in” at locations that are part of Valencia’s “Summer Fun Celebration.” Eligible events include:
Friday night Jazz Festival events:  July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20 and August 27.  Must “check-in” on at least 4 dates.

Saturdays in Valencia: July 31, August 14 and August 28.  Must “check-in” on at least 2 dates at the respective event location.
Once the minimum number of check-in points has been reached, Participant must bring hardcopy proof of “check-in” on event dates and at event locations. Printed History from Participant’s Foursquare account will be accepted.


SELECTION OF WINNERS:
All qualifying entries received during the Sweepstakes Period will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes drawing.   Three (3) Sweepstakes prize winners will be randomly selected by Sponsor on or about August 31, 2010.

Limit one prize per person.  Prior to receipt of any prize, potential prize winners must sign and return an acknowledgement of these Official Rules, a release of Sponsor and any other required forms, including, without limitation, affidavits of eligibility, prize acceptance and liability and publicity release forms, and IRS-W9 forms.  If a potential prize winner fails to return all of the required forms within the time specified, that potential prize winner may be disqualified.  The return of the above-mentioned forms within the time required by Sponsor shall be solely the responsibility of the prize winner; Sponsor is not responsible for delays in delivery.  All prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.
ODDS OF WINNING A SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE:
The odds of winning the sweepstakes prize will be determined by the number of qualifying entries received.

Three (3) $50 gift cards from Panera Bread
One (1) Galaxy family 4 pack
One (1) Chivas Soccer Family 4 pack

All other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of an awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner, including, without limitation, any service charges or other fees.  ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNERS.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS:
Prizes are non-transferable.  Except as otherwise provided herein, no substitution of prizes is permitted; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value.  Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize.  Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Promotion is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Sponsor.  Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Promotion, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Sponsor determines that the Promotion cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Promotion. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. 

Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.
NO LIABILITY:  
By participating, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor (and the officers, directors, employees, shareholders, agents and representatives of Sponsor), from and against any claims made by entrants, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Promotion as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize(s) or participation in any Promotion-related activity or participation in this Promotion.
PUBLICITY: 
Prize winners grant Sponsor and its advertising and promotional agencies and providers and those acting under their permission the irrevocable and perpetual right to use their name, likeness, voice, comments, and any photographs or video or audio footage that may be taken for advertising and publicity purposes in any form of media, now known or hereafter developed or perfected, without payment of additional consideration or acknowledgement, except where prohibited by law.
PRIVACY:
Your personal information, in conjunction with this Promotion, will be utilized by the Sponsor and its designated agents, affiliates, and business partners for marketing purposes and to provide information to entrants about their products, services and special offers.  Entrant expressly consents to the use of entrant’s information by Sponsor and its designated agents, affiliates, and business partners for such purposes.  For additional information, please consult the Privacy Policy link at www.valencia.com.

Requests for copies of these Official Rules or a winner’s list (after September 24, 2009) may be sent to Sponsor, Attn: “Foursquare Challenge in Awesometown Promotion, 25124 Springfield Ct., 3rd Floor, Valencia, CA 91355.  Please specify which you are requesting. All requests must be received by September 30, 2010.  All questions, comments or concerns regarding this Promotion should be directed to Sponsor at awesometown@valencia.com and not to any other entity.
